The Society of Women Engineers is a not-for-profit organization that supports women engineers in all stages of their career, from current professionals to stay-at-home moms and retirees, to students from the collegiate level to grade school. It is with the help of generous donations from corporate partners that we are able to provide a wide range of services to our members and future members.

SWE-Detroit Grant Proposal Information
Are you a non-profit organization looking for some extra financial support? SWE-Detroit may be able to help! Please contact swe_detroit@swe.org if you are interested and meet the below eligibility requirements.
The proposed programs should be oriented towards women and girls. It is preferred that the proposal addresses one of the current year’s fiscal priorities. The program is funded through SWE-Detroit funds, and therefore grants are only awarded when available. Program requirements may be subject to specific donor criteria; however, in general the programs should be dedicated to:
- Encouraging women and girls of all ages to pursue engineering studies,
- Engaging practicing women engineers in professional development activities,
- Providing a positive forum for diversity issues and training, or
- Improving the effectiveness of the Society of Women Engineers.
Note that the proposal must be sponsored and submitted by a registered SWE member, and not covered by the grant funds is reimbursement for SWE member/volunteer time.
